This sets forth the guidelines for the Circle. It deals with current rules, laws, and also any kinds of punishment which may be carried out.
Laws: The Imperium has set forth a few laws for mages, but the Circle has expanded these laws, the differences shall be noted. Though they apply only to the Circle, failure to follow them could result in demotion or removal from the guild.
Guild structure: Ranking members should be followed at all times, within reason, of course. Should there be any problems, matters should be brought to the Head Master’s attention and a solution will be found.
In the event of the death of the Head Master, the Second Head Master or a Master who has been designated by the Head Master will take over the guild. If neither exists, then the person with the highest rank who has been in the guild the longest will take over the guild.
Spells:
The Imperium has banished all summons which bring forth predatory animals, this includes all of they pyromancy summons and the hydromancy dragon. All other summons are acceptable.
Pyromancy is banned from being cast during the hottest months of the year, with the exception of fireshield and strength of fire. During the rest of the year, pyromancy is to be used with extreme caution, cast sparely. Never on straw or wooden golems and never in any area with gardens.
Do not cast on those who do not wish it, this includes healing spells. Short of them bleeding to death, not all are comfortable with magic and may not respond well if they are not asked first.
The Circle does not ban necromancy, however it falls under the same rules as any other school. If it is used to cause harm, the mage will be removed from the guild.
Punishments: Demotion is typically the first punishment which is used. However, if a law of the Imperium is broke, or a heinous crime committed, removal from the guild may be looked at. Once a mage is removed from the guild, they will no longer receive assistance, magical items, or gold from the guild. All contact through the guild with them is suspended. It takes an act of the head master to return a member to the guild who has been removed.
[OOC: This is included because of certain problems that occasional occur within a guild. As the imms do not tolerate certain behaviors, nor do I. Cheating is prevalent among them. If you think you have found a bug or something seems suspicious report it, to myself or the imms, immediately. Do not attempt to exploit it. Also, because of past occurrences within my experience (nothing that’s happened here), I will not tolerate bullying of other players. Problems between characters is one thing, but between players is another. You are expected to work with other players to build constructive story lines, even if you don’t like them. I will also not put up with people attempting to force others to RP certain events with them. If someone refuses an RP, then they don’t have to do it. If anyone wishes to complain about a member of the guild needs to bring it to myself or to the imm’s attention (that includes complaints about me). Use your best judgment in this. If it is a guild matter, such as rank or orders or disagreements with rules, I suggest bringing it to me. If it is personal, then it’s up to you where to go, but I can’t fix everything and I will report things to the imms. I will remove people from the guild for people causing excessive OOC drama. Also, if the imms remove you from testing, for any reason, you will be removed from the guild.] |
