Illusion Principles:
Spells: Clone - Clone is considered one of the most powerful spells within the school of illusion. It allows a caster to take on a perfect likeness of any creature within the world. They will gain everything about that creature’s appearance, their voice, their way of walking, even what they are wearing. However, the effects are illusionary only, and the caster does not gain either the target’s abilities nor do they really gain their possessions. It is up to the caster to act as their target s well. True sight can break through a clone spell, but for those that do have the spell, paying close attention to how a being acts or what they normally carry with them can allow them to know that it is a clone spell. When fighting a clone, most notice that the form flickers. Not always to what is the true form, but often other forms that being has taken before. Once the caster is knocked unconscious, the spell will fade and the true self of the caster will be revealed. Disorient - This is a simple spell which blurs the vision of the target. As a result, the accuracy of the target is reduced. Flash - Flash conjures a bright explosion of light, blinding everyone in the area for an extremely limited amount of time. This spell robs the targets of their sight without fail, and does not provoke a battle. Hallucinate - This spell is very similar to illusion, but it targets a single person rather than those within an area. The spell hallucinate causes the target to see and hear things that are not real. However, those with a great enough connection to the mists can see through illusions and will know they are false. Hallucinations cannot be seen by anyone else and as such, a way to know they are false is to ask if something has transpired. It is up to the caster to create a believable hallucination to prevent this. Illusion - Is similar to that of hallucinate, expect that it targets a group of people. As with all illusion spells, someone with a great enough connection to the mists will know it is an illusion and may report it to others there. Illusion can make it appear as though anything has happened, but it is up to the Illusionist to create messages that are believable. Invis - The invisibility spell makes the caster or target character invisible. Invisible characters can only be seen by those with the 'detect invisibility' spell, though they can still be heard. Attacking another creature in any way will break the invisibility. Ventriloquate - The most basic of illusions, ventriloquate tricks listeners into believing some one or something else is the source of the words. However, it is possible for this spell to fail, but when it does, it will only reveal the fact it is an illusion, not who cast it. Misdirection - This is a basic spell, but it can prove useful to illusionist when they are being perused. It will make them appear to leave in a direction other than the one they truly went. This forces the one who chases them to spend time searching. However, the spell can be broken through when the caster appears to move through a direction that is impossible, such as through walls, or into the ground.
